Is there any way to work as a “tax lawyer” but not work for a corporation?

Chad S asked:
I online pharmacies am currently majoring in accounting and am going to law school to become a tax lawyer. But I would like to return to my hometown after completing school – my town has about 40-50,000 people. I would obviously not be able to work for a big business/corporation in a town like that, but I still would like to be a tax lawyer.
Advice?
