Anyone know a patent attorney that is AFFORDABLE?

Reviewing a number of patent attorney fees, I am surprised by how much they charge. Has anyone found a good attorney that charges a fair rate? What would you say is a fair rate? What should one expect to pay for the filing of a patent?
